Italian side Torino were also linked with the player as they wanted to boost their defensive ranks. Even Southampton were linked but nothing concrete has happened.
Till date Barcelona are struggling to let go of the player that they spent so much to get. For now the player is training with the Catalan giants. He posted online a picture of himself at the training ground with his teammates.
Some clubs might accept to get the player on a year loan deal but Barcelona are seeking outright buyers. If fit, the player is a decent addition but the recurrent injury concerns scares off potential interests. If Ernesto Valverde fails to get him off the books, the Belgian might remain at the club but he would be well managed to contribute anything substantial.
